Gartner發佈了一篇未來四年將改變企業運作型態的10大科技趨勢，分別如下：
- Multicore and hybrid processors
- Virtualization and fabric computing
- Social networks and social software
- Cloud computing and cloud/Web platforms
- Web mashups
- User Interface
- Ubiquitous computing
- Contextual computing
- Augmented reality
- Semantics
What does this all mean, and more importantly what should a successful IT staffer (or CIO) do today? The key to your future success is to understand how IT is going to change and what you need to do to change with it. IT is going to become much more about information and how it can be used to help the business grow and prosper. This IT function is going to leave the IT department as we know it today and will migrate into the business unit itself. What this means to you is that you need to know what your firm does, and even more importantly, how it does it. The next question will be what information is needed by the business units to improve how they do their work. This is what tomorrow’s IT staff will provide. 原計畫blog可以至少每2天寫一次，但最近籌備7/26的活動來到了”mentally exhausted”的階段，這禮拜竟不知不覺快過了…
Anyway，7/26的活動已確定會辦在京華城的B3地心引力廣場。活動名稱(暫)定為MIS轟啪。英文名稱：Happy System Administrator Appreciation Day!

台灣人童年的回憶中，一定有過下面這支廣告：
當年三洋維士比為勞工朋友們打出了一句響亮的口號：

嘿，是否想過，假設今天一進辦公室，發現沒有網路、沒有電腦、沒有電話，您要如何撐過這八小時呢？
別擔心，有一群人，只要有他們在的一天，上面的情形就不會發生。
每個成功的男人，背後都有一個默默支持的女人；每個具有競爭力的企業，內部都有一群默默奉獻的團隊，他們就是 - System Administrator - IT系統管理者。
泰德.卡卡托斯 (Ted Kakatos)是美國芝加哥的一名IT網管人，1999年以前，他和您我一樣，每天在網路線堆辛苦工作。2000年的某日，泰德(啃比薩時)無意間翻到一張HP雜誌上的廣告，內容是一群同事團團圍住一名IT人員，搶著獻花，感謝他為辦公室安裝全新的印表機。
不知為何，他心跳加速，眼眶泛紅…
「是啊，這就夠了，這就夠了….」
這篇廣告給了他靈感，決定發起一個屬於全世界IT系統管理者的節日 - System Administrator Appreciation Day -「系統管理者感恩日」。
在每年七月的最後一個星期五，泰德希望您能到IT部門走一遭，到上次幫您修好電腦的那位老哥座位，和他親口說聲謝謝(也許他會很害羞地繼續裝忙)；泰德希望您能趁午休時間，偷偷放個小禮物在機房門口(不會融化，有3C特色的禮物更佳)；泰德希望您能寫信告訴全公司這個特別的日子：這天，我們保證會乖乖使用電腦與網路，讓辛苦的IT同仁放今年第一天假！
如今，全球「系統管理者感恩日」即將舉辦第9屆了，從感性到狂歡，不同地區有著不同的慶祝方式；台灣將在2008年首次加入，也將成為亞洲第一個串連此活動的國家…
